This summer, for the first time in its history, The Royal Exchange, in partnership with The City of London Festival and D&D London, will get toes tapping and fingers snapping with a host of sophisticated jazz performances from a variety of talented up-and-coming jazz singers.

From the 6-10th of July, visitors to The Royal Exchange, a historic building in the heart of The City with more than 30 luxury boutiques and two restaurants, will be able to relax and unwind while enjoying jazz in stunning surroundings.

A beautifully sleek grand piano will serve as the focal point of the performances, with the surrounding tables within The Grand Café in the Central Courtyard providing the perfect vantage point to enjoy the show. While listening to the soulful crooning of the singers, guests can enjoy a selection of sinfully delicious cocktails named after the jazz greats.

Entry to the performances will be free to all visitors throughout the week. Those who wish to elevate their experience can enjoy a two or three-course dinner at Sauterelle, a restaurant located on the mezzanine level of The Royal Exchange, serving superb modern European cuisine in an intimate setting.

The masterful Head Chef, Piero Leone of Sauterelle has specially created a four course menu “Out to Lunch”, which was inspired by what is considered one of the best jazz albums of all time; Eric Dolphy’s 1964s album. The concept involves pairing each course of the menu with the most representative jazz pieces and musicians from the 50s and 60s jazz era. Each course is titled after a jazz piece, combined with the main rhythmical uses in jazz.
