Over 8 million people share our city. We pass each other on the street and sit side-by-side on the bus. Many of us have come from other parts of the UK or the world, but we rarely hear about the extraordinary lives that lie behind the faces in the crowd.

Inspired by the success of London Stories in 2013 and on-going public conversations around migration, we are curating a festival of true stories from people of all backgrounds who have arrived in London and tried to make this city their new home.

In small audience groups, you will explore the nooks and crannies of our building and hear powerful stories told by the people who lived them, from coming to London for work or study to fleeing war and persecution. You will also hear tales of coming to the city passed down from previous generations, and from Londoners who have welcomed new arrivals.

Join us for an immersive and moving evening that reveals the personal stories behind the headlines and shines a light on our city’s rich history of migration.

London Stories: Made By Migrants is part of our Moving Museum programme.

Age Recommendation: 14+
Running Time: 90 mins

Please note, part of the London Stories experience is that you meet people you don’t know. This means you will usually be separated from those that you book with.
