Continue the St Patrick’s Day celebrations at London’s iconic Borough Market with a showcase of the premium food and drink that Northern Ireland has to offer. 14 guest traders will set up shop in the glass fronted Market Hall with some of the best produce from the region including meats, cheeses, malts, gins and traditional poitin (an Irish pot distilled spirit).

Northern Ireland has a longstanding heritage in authentic, quality food and drink with outstanding flavours and was awarded the accolade of ‘Best International Food Destination’ at the prestigious International Travel and Tourism Awards in November 2018, firmly cementing its place on the gastronomic world map.

A host of Northern Ireland’s producers will be taking part, selling a variety of food and drink from the traditional to international dishes with a Northern Irish twist. Guest traders include: The Bucha’s Dog who produce small batch kombucha from Belfast, Woodlab Distillery selling Symphonia Gin, a cold distilled gin made in County Tyrone with local ingredients, Mourne Dew Distillery selling their gin alongside poitin, Indie Fude serving Northern Irish cheeses and cured meats, Cavanagh Eggs, Hellbent who make South African sausages and meat products with Northern Irish produce, Born Maverick - Vegan malt and beverage producers with a focus on sustainability, Boatyard Gin who make farm-to-bottle organic spirits and KeNako Biltong, made with organic Irish beef.

During the celebrations, Northern Ireland celebrity chef and board director for Slow Food Northern Ireland, Paula McIntyre will be in Borough Market’s free demonstration kitchen cooking up delicious traditional dishes using products available at the showcase. Paula’s recipes will inspire visitors with new ingredients from this special part of the world, who will then be able to take them home to rustle up their very own Northern Irish feast.
