ZombieLab

ZombieLab explores the science of consciousness after a zombie outbreak. How can we know if zombies are conscious of their actions? What do you need to understand to respond to the zombie threat?

Our ‘outbreak’ starts at one of the Museum’s popular Lates events on 30 January. Across the following weekend, an isolated zone in the Museum will become the ZombieLab. It will feature interactive live games, mass experiments, a series of short talks and a zombie trial. Explore consciousness science and the implications of a zombie attack!

Activities include:

Quarantine
In ten minutes the safe house doors will slam shut and you need to prove you're not a zombie. Complete the tasks to show you're fully conscious in time and you might survive...

Zombie S.A.Y.S
Watch out for Zombie Prevention Officers who will be roaming ZombieLab and putting visitors to the test to weed out those showing signs of affliction.

Out-of-Body Experience
Can virtual reality create the illusion that you're disassociated from your own body? Find out in consciousness researcher Dr Keisuke Suzuki's immersive demonstration.

Mindball
Battle to control a ball with your brain waves in this neurofeedback game.
