Dean Swift

The Dean Swift or Dean Swift as it is now called, has been taken over by new ownership. They have done an excellent job in a referb to really brighten the place up. New bathrooms!! The decor is understated and well thought out, the staff are lovely and very helpful. The Swift is now a local beer house specialising in cask beer (4) Draft world product (about 9) and a fantastic bottle range. Beers from Kenya to Corsica!!

The new owners have introduced food to the pub, which was one big thing missing before and its good too, they having daily specials on black boards and a real mix on their menu. I had a chefs burger with an egg which was awesome. The bar tender recommended a Brooklyn Larger to go with my choice and it suited perfectly.

A must to check out, just off the shad themes front so not full of tourists, great atmosphere loved it. I will definitely be going back.

Friday night and the pub had a great atmosphere.

Hi guys - i'm new to the area so just thought i'd say good day to you all. I'm a great lad and look forward to spending lots of time in the Swift. I had my first couple of pints in the Swift before heading off to Crazy Larry's - it was great for pre-going out drinks.

If you see a good lad in chinos, a blazer and brogues, that'll be me.
