This chain of Chinese restaurants is absurdly cheap, but if you’re looking for attentive service and haute cuisine steer clear. If on the other hand you like the sound of spending around £6 on limitless portions of stodgy pork balls, sweet and sour, and chicken satay, you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I have been to Mr Wu's 4 times now and have always been very impressed. It's a little cramped but for £4.95 the all you can eat buffet is exceptional value. We are back in London in late July and will certainly use Mr Wu's again.

I took my kids here for lunch a few weeks ago. Although the choice of dishes was fairly limited (about 8 dishes including chips and rice} it was all well cooked and really tasty. The decor's not much to write home about but on the other hand I fed three of us for less than £20 including drinks. At £4.95 each for the food I thought it was excellent value. We enjoyed it and I'd definitely go back.

Went to Soho on Saturday and wanted Chinese but did not want an expensive restaurant. The decor might put some people off but the food is good so give it a try. Although its buffet style it is hot and replenished frquemtly. If you want a decent all you can eat buffet meal without paying a fortune pop in and fill up - at £4.95 you cannot beat it for value.

I used to visit Mr. Wu years ago when it was an high class restaurant.
The cooks were Chinese, but the waiters were Italian.
Everything about the dinner was very good (food, service, ambiance) but every time that I was given the bill it had something added which I didn't order or get.
When I called the waiter, instead of being apologetic, he was unpleasant.
It sounds as if they are continuing that part of their tradition.

August, 2008. I found the quality of food in their all you can eat buffet for £4.95 quite revolting and the aspect of choice mean to non-exisistent. The diners around me were complaining to each other, muttering quietly, as the English are wont to do. For example, the Won Ton soup was totally watery but slightly greasy, for main courses there was a choice of bits of "roast" pork like greasy bullets and over-fried chicken wings with precious little but still stringy meat. When I left, I complained, and was promptly told to F*** myself. This is true, not a "rant". JS

Me and my friend visited this brilliant restaurant when we were short of cash. The location isnt the best as it is right next to a strip-club, however, the restaurant is brightly decorated and welcoming.
The food was not bad, for £4.95 you can eat as much as you want. We found that some food were too greasy and salty, but for the price it is brilliant. The music was interesting, one track was repeated over and over again.

All you can eat for 5 quid something. I tried this once before going out on the beers. Even though it's eat all you can one of my friends was getting serious evils from the guy in charge when going up for thirds. The food is pretty bad, if you're saving money go for it otherwise walk around the corner on to Gerrard Street for some better quality chinese food that is freshly cooked.
