This little garden is hidden behind Bermondsey Street, just metres from the railway tracks of London Bridge station. It opened in 2012 with the aim of giving a new, green space to the locals. It's a bit like a garden away from home, as anyone is welcome to bring their own plants and look after them. To one side there's a wardrobe with a small collection of books people can nosey through to spend a quiet hour reading on one of the park benches. Visitors are encouraged to borrow them and leave their own books behind.
Although the nearby trains can be clearly heard, the tall surrounding warehouses and trees keep it tucked away from the goings-on outside.
