Lol, you're not stupid. You're just inquesitive and you want find out if you don't ask :)

By covering letter, I mean just write a short letter stating how you would like to be considered for the role of Lavender Brown and you were unaware of the auditions. Just express how much it means to you and how much you want it.

Fiona Weir is the casting director for Harry Potter. Would you like her address?

and how do the cast remember all the script... like aint it alot.. or does som1 tell them and they repeat?

No, you don't need any acting experience. I think they prefer people who haven't had any to be honest. They like fresh, untouched youngens... without that sounding pervy... :-? Basically they want someone who hasn't been trained and are easy to mould into how they want them to be. It's what they prefer anyways. They wan unrecognisable kids too.

The auditions for Lavender Brown were last Sunday, 1st July I'm afraid :( But you may still have a chance if you send in you photo and a letter to Fiona Weir, the casting director of Harry Potter. If she thinks you have a chance of being the character, or any other character, she may contact you :)

They just learn the lines. They may forget them from time to time and need prompting, but usually they know them off by heart. It's just a learning process really...

Just say you weren't aware of the auditions, or were unable to attend them but still would like to be considered for the role (or any role). Juts be honest and express your interest.
