The object is to take it in turns to write your very own part of one continuous story...
Ok, so it could all go horribly wrong, but let's see shall we??? As long as we get the ending right it doesn't matter...after all, the ending is the most important part of the story...I think I'll try a horror... Geek

It was a dry, dusky summer's evening when it happened. Only a few hours ago they had all thought it would have been fine...But, of course, they were wrong...It all started to go horribly wrong when they began to doubt not only each other, but also themselves...

Dan sat in the corner of the room, cowering under the mans tall dark shadow shadow. He did not dare speak a word. The reminder of what he saw happen to his friend leanne hung over him and it made him heavy with dread and fear. The blood was still spattered over the walls and Dan could not help but occasionally look over at her body, and everytime he did, a shiver went down his spine. Surely he could not escape the same fate for long...

"Did you think you'd get away with it?" Said the tall, dark shadow, cowering over Dan. Dan kept his gaze on the shadowy figure without blinking. Although his hands were violently shaking as he gripped the small, sharp object in his hand, he was determined to not show weakness to this dark figure hovering over him. He decided not to answer.
Having not received an answer, the dark stranger turned and made his way steadily to Leanne. He knelt down, bent over her and stroked her long, red hair. As she lay there motionless, Dan could not help but think how she had wronged her. This was his fault.
He squeezed the sharp object in his hand and felt a warm, liquid trickle down his fist.

Two days earlier......

"Don't forget the tent" shouted Leanne as Dan frantically packed the car, "we're going to miss the ferry if we don't get a move on". "Don't worry we'll make it" said Leanne, "Mike and Beth will wait at the port if we don't make it on time so we can all take the next one".

This trip was supposed to be a relaxing break for the four friends after graduating University, although it wasn't starting out that way.

They just made it to the ferry on time where the other two were waiting... if they knew what was awaiting them on the island then missing the last outbound ferry before the weekend would have been a better idea.

The rickety old ferry set off towards its destination, Blair Island, a place popular with backpackers for its challenging terrain and relative isolation. The island only has 200 inhabitants and most of those live around the port.

The plan for the trip was to set off from the port as soon as they arrived and trek into the wilderness for 7 days of hiking and camping, something the group had done before whilst at uni but never anywhere like this.

The island was placed off the coast of france, and although it was a sunny and hot place there was a terrible feeling that came with the island. Dan, Leanne, Mike and Beth Stepped off the ferry.
They had all been tired on the way but as soon as they were on the island the feeling of tiredness evaporated. They were all excited to explore this strange but beautiful island. The ferry had only transported the four of them to the island the rest of the passengers on the ferry were heading for france.

The four friends looked around in shock at their surroundings, it was not as they had imagined. The beach seemed to stretch on for miles and trying to see the end with the bright sun shining so violently in their eyes proved impossible. Leanne wandered into the trees that were swaying slightly in the light breeze. Her three friends soon disappeard from view as she ploughed on through the wildnerness. She could hear her friends calling her from behind but something inside her told her to go on. She came to a clearing, but something was not right...

Something turned in the pit of Leanne's stomach. She looked back towards the direction of where her friends stood waiting for her. Why hadn't they followed, Leanne thought. She turned back to the clearing and swallowed hard. Her mouth was dry and as the scorching sun beated down on her she felt herself becoming quickly dehydrated. She couldn't think clearly. Water would be the simpliest option, but she couldn't bring herself to reach into her rucksack and retrieve her bottle. The only words that were running through her mind were, carry on, carry on.

Dan, Mike and beth turned to one another.
"We should go after her" Dan said shaking his head.
"You go we'll stay here" Mike Replied.
With that Dan ran after Leanne who had gone quiet far into the trees.
He saw something in front of him, he ran shouting
"LEANNE, LEANNE".
Then he saw....

In amongst the trees a mysterious ruined lodge house with towers and ivy-covered windows and a crumbling front door in blood-red swinging in the breeze which had suddenly come upon him. Tall overgrown trees and rusty black railings hid the garden safely away.

Suddenly he heard screaming! It sounded like Leanne and was coming from the house. There was only one thing to do...

There was no time to go back for the others, he picked up a large branch by his side and swung open the door.
A large object came flying at him and when dan next opened his eyes, it was to a horrifying scene.

Leanne's face was covered in blood and she was pleading with a man who's face dan could not see...
'no, please, stop! I'll do anything'
Her voice quivered with fear, but not for long. Within seconds she was dead as the man stabbed her repeatedly in the chest.

Dan felt his mouth open to scream, but no sound ever left him... the love of his life had gone.
