Basement Sate is a new concept in restaurants; a restaurant that is designed to appeal only to your sweet tooth. This is London's very first late night drinking and dessert venue with exquisite desserts and cocktail matching no less!
Hailing from the Cathleen McGarry who is also co-owner of the beautiful and esteemed Parisian cocktail bar Sherry Butt, Basement Sate will is designed around a long and sophisticated bar counter with low-lighting, booths and seating surrounding it for up to 120 covers.
Dorian Picard, previously a Pastry Chef at Maze and Club Gascon has designed the dessert menu which has a range on offer from £8 to £13.50 and are specifically designed to match and compliment the flavours within the cocktails as devised by Byly Tran (previously from L’Entree Des Artistes & Prescription Cocktail Club).
On top of this delicious and indulgent offering, Basement Sate also has a state of the art Martin Audio sound system (as used by Ministry Of Sound & Fabric), and hosts a range of top DJs from London and Europe. Basement Sate’s music policy is a main focus, a genuine haven for true music lovers who are looking for diverse sounds away from the mainstream.

Only desserts and cocktails are served here. The Kinder Surprise has the maximum saccharine level to mouth ratio: a chocolate brownie with whipped cream and praline foam, topped with caramelised hazelnuts and caramel pearls. If one pud isn’t enough, get the Menu Degustation where they’ll pair a selection for you plus cocktails.
