When it comes to opulent dining, it's hard to surpass Rubens at The Palace, in particular its restaurant The English Grill, where your meal comes with a hefty side of table theatrics.
Located near Buckingam Palace, Rubens has two separate restaurants as well as three bars, but it's at The English Grill where you can be served things like a steak Diane that is flambeed at your table and cured salmon sliced in front of you from a giant side of the fish.
The dining room is suitably grand, furnished with chandeliers and with tableware made from polished silver. Don't forget your credit card (and potentially taking out a second mortgage).
