Lol yeah, wha can come up with the most supidest idea and pass it off as art to unsuspecting patrons... if you sell it, then extra bonus prize!

lol for sure - i thought about doing that once - u no liek drawing dogy pictures - saying its what i like - which i sok cause i love throwing paint around on paper or canvas instead of actually drawing - so i wouldnt be lying - and i could probly sell it n def become well known n rich from it - but i wouldnt wanna have to act like a stupid tw@t 24/7 - i'd rather make less dollars and do something i enjoy and that isnt a total joke!!!

i guess art is like beauty its in the eye of the beholder so as a matter of fact anything can be art its just a name for something we can appreciate?

i am sorry to disagree with u elliex - but art is not in the eye of the beholder.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. art is only beautiful if it actually depicts something beautiful - like a scene or a person or something along those lines.

rubbish like a glass with water called an oak tree is not beauty in the eye of the beholder - its lack of eyes to see whats actually there.

art smells :)

I agree with you totally im just asuming people know what art acctually is and not stupid stuff like the glass of water thing the "art" i like is beautiful in my opinion you cant tell people what to think is beautiful therefore art is in the eye of the beholder should we say!

does that make sense?

when i was in the tate modern there was a big slope leading into the museum and i was really tempted to roll down it! i might just film myself rolling down and put it in a gallery :D

Eh? I mean a piece of art is something that doesn't serve any other purpose than to just be that piece of art. Like for instance, a car can't be art as it serves the purpose of transportation. Does that make sense?

This is just what I have heard anyway, not strictly my opinion. Although it is interesting.

Art is supposed to make people talk and think. It is not just something pretty to look at and it isn't just art for art's sake. Some of it is ridiculous to one person but makes sense to another. I think art is serving it's purpose. It's making you all talk.
